We have more than 30 exploration permits in Burkina Faso, where we are
carrying out exploration works. Nordgold currently holds exploration
rights under research permits for 4,290sq km in Burkina Faso.
We are also assessing the exploration potential of licence areas we hold under the mining rights in Guinea. The LEFA corridor is a highly prospective zone that is approximately 10km wide and situated within the 1,500sq km Dinguiraye concession. The Banora-Diguili-Boureme corridor in the south runs sub-parallel to the LEFA corridor and is also a high priority area for regional exploration.
In Russia, we have six gold exploration properties in East Siberia, which are Uryakh, Nerchinsk, Vitimkan, Kunikan, Ostanstovy and Yuzhno-Uguyskaya. Our exploration projects also include the Prognoz project, with resources of 205 Moz of silver. High River Gold indirectly owns 50% of Prognoz. We believe there is substantial resource potential available for further exploration.
